Building in the Fenua

VAI is two founders and a set of roles the platform needs. The gaps here are real, and so is the invitation: if you see a place for yourself, tell us.

Publishing a role is not a promise to fill it tomorrow. We look for the right people before we have the budget for them, because the right person is rarely free in the month you go looking.

Amandine Launois

Local Brand, Marketing & Partnerships

Amandine is a driving force in Tahiti's hospitality, gastronomy and digital marketing. She founded the communication agency REDSOYU, now VAI's exclusive local marketing partner for content and campaigns. She is the creator and publishing director of the ANOE travel guide and of the Chefs de Tahiti platform, and in 2026 she opened the restaurant Anoi Tahiti. Her network runs deep among local restaurateurs, event organisers and hospitality leaders. Product & Engineering

Senior Product Engineer

Anoe and Anoe Connect are live and running in production, both written by our founder. This role is about sharing that ownership: carrying the codebase forward, shipping the next generation of features, and working with AI as a normal part of the craft rather than a novelty. You would work directly with Kevin on architecture and product decisions, with real autonomy over what you build. Remote works. If you would rather own a whole product than a queue of tickets, we should talk.

Community & Local Expertise

Guide Success Manager

Guides are the heart of the platform. This role is about walking beside them: onboarding, day-to-day support, and making sure their activities are live, current and easy to book. You would be the voice of guides in our product decisions, and the first person they call when something is not right. Local knowledge matters more than a CV here, and speaking reo Tahiti is a real advantage. If you are close to the Fenua's tourism community, we would genuinely like to hear from you.

Demand & Distribution

Growth Lead, International Markets

Amandine leads everything local. This role owns everything beyond it: the travellers in the markets that send people to French Polynesia. Acquisition, visibility in search and with AI assistants, content, distribution partnerships, and an honest read of what is actually working. You would build the traveller side of Anoe with the freedom to test quickly and the discipline to measure it. If you have taken a product from local traction to international reach before, we want to talk.

Students & first experience

Internship

We are early, and the institutions here already back us. The interesting questions are still open, so a stage now means real ownership from your first week and a say in where a piece of this goes. We have supervised interns before, and you would work beside the person who built the platform. We take students from the Université de la Polynésie française and from schools in mainland France or further afield, at BTS, licence or master level, and we sign the convention de stage. French and English are both required, and reo Tahiti is a real bonus. Tell us what your programme needs: the dates, the length, and whether the stage is obligatoire or facultatif. Come to us at least a month ahead, because your school needs the paperwork signed before you start.

The roles beside this one are the gaps we already know about. They are not the only way in. If what we are building speaks to you and you can see where you would fit, write and say so - reaching out unprompted already tells us something. Tell us who you are, what you are good at, and what you would want to own.
